Sound familiar?
The tech problems that cost you on your busiest nights.
What we do
Everything with a plug, looked after.
One local company for all the tech your business runs on – watched every day, fixed fast, and explained in plain English.
Wi-Fi and internet
Fast, secure Wi-Fi with staff and guests kept apart, and a backup connection so card payments keep working if the line goes down.
POS and card readers
Toast, Square, Clover and most other systems. Set up right, kept up to date, and back online fast when one drops.
Cameras
Cameras that actually record, footage you can find when you need it, and viewing from your phone.
Backups and accounts
Office computers backed up, passwords and logins in one safe place, and staff accounts closed when people leave.
One message, we handle it
Something broken? Send us a message. We deal with it – including calling your POS company or internet provider for you.
The 7am report
Our AI turns last night's numbers into one short text. The part no ordinary IT company gives you.
The morning report
Know how every location did before you've had coffee.
No logging in to three different apps. One text, every morning:
- Yesterday's sales at each location, compared with last week
- Labor against sales, so a slow shift with too many staff stands out
- What ran out, and when – and whether it keeps happening
- New reviews, with a reply written for you to approve
- Catering orders still waiting on a yes
- Any tech problem overnight, and what we're doing about it
It only reads your POS reports – it can't change prices, issue refunds or touch your money. The AI runs on our own hardware here in New Jersey, not on a big tech company's servers, and the math is done by ordinary code, so the numbers are exact.
The free tech check
What's a tech check?
We visit your locations, look at the tech you already have, and tell you plainly what's solid, what's fragile and what to fix first. It's free, and you're under no obligation.
What we look at
- Internet and Wi-Fi – speed, dead spots, and whether guests share your staff network
- POS and card readers – updates, cabling, and what happens if the internet drops
- Cameras – whether they're recording, and how much footage they keep
- Office computers, backups, passwords and who still has access
- The age of your equipment – what's out of warranty or no longer supported
How it works
- Usually about an hour per location, at a quiet time you pick – never during your rush
- We look and ask; we don't change or unplug anything
- Within a few days you get a written summary like the one here – yours to keep, whether you hire us or not
- If you'd like us to look after things, the summary includes a clear monthly price
How it works
Three steps. No jargon.
Free tech check
We visit, look, and give you a written summary of what's solid and what's fragile. No charge, no pressure.
Fix and set up
We fix what matters most – priced up front, nothing done without your OK – and connect the morning report to your POS.
One monthly price
Per location. We watch everything, you message us when something breaks, and the report arrives every morning.
Why us
How we compare.
Most owners either call someone when things break, or pay a big IT company built for offices.
| Calling someone when it breaks | A big IT company | Mainland TechDesk | |
|---|---|---|---|
| When problems are noticed | When a customer can't pay | Usually monitored remotely | Watched for you, and in your 7am text |
| Who you talk to | Whoever is free that week | A help desk, often far away | Someone local who knows your setup |
| What it costs | Surprise bills, rush rates on weekends | Priced per computer user – built for offices | One monthly price per location |
| Knows restaurants and shops | Sometimes | Rarely | It's all we do |
| A daily report on your business | No | No | Yes, every morning at 7 |
A person answers
Every request gets a reply within one business day, from someone who knows your locations – not a ticket number.
We come to you
Local to the mainland and the shore, so we can be on site when it matters.
Plain English
We explain what's wrong and what it costs before we touch anything.
Your data stays yours
Read-only access, AI on our own hardware, and you can switch it off any time.
Who we are
Local IT, not a call center.
Mainland TechDesk is based on the mainland in Atlantic County. We've done IT for businesses and for local government, and we built the morning report because owners with more than one location are usually the last to hear about a problem.
We work with owners who run two or more locations – restaurants, cafes, delis and sub shops, and liquor and convenience stores, ice cream and boardwalk shops.
Where we work
Further out? Ask – we'll tell you honestly if we can look after you well.
Questions
Questions owners ask.
Is the tech check really free?
Yes. We visit, look, and send you a written summary. There's no charge and no obligation – the summary is yours to keep and use with anyone you like.
What does it cost after that?
One monthly price per location, quoted in writing after the tech check, because it depends on how many locations and devices you have. Any one-off fixes or new equipment are priced up front – you see the cost before anything is done or bought.
Do I have to switch POS systems?
No. We work with what you have – Toast, Square, Clover and most others. If something really should change, we'll explain why and let you decide.
Do you work on older equipment?
Usually, yes. We may decline equipment that's out of warranty, no longer supported by its maker, or needs parts that are no longer made, because we can't promise to keep it running. The tech check flags anything like that before you sign anything, along with what a replacement would cost.
What about nights and weekends?
Restaurants and shops don't close at five, and we know it. Every request gets a reply within one business day, and before we start we agree in writing what counts as an emergency and how quickly we respond to one.
Is there a long contract?
Everything – what we look after, what it costs, how to stop – is set out in writing before we start, in plain English. No surprises.
Does the AI see my business's data? Where does it go?
The morning report reads your POS sales reports – read-only, so it can't change anything or touch your money. The AI runs on our own hardware in New Jersey, not on a big tech company's AI service. You can turn it off any time.
Can I get IT support without the morning report, or the other way around?
Yes – tell us what you need. The two work best together, because the report also tells you about tech problems overnight.
I only have one location. Can you still help?
We focus on owners with two or more locations, but get in touch – if we can help well, we'll say so.
